Xcite Lighting and Sound have been around in Wellington since 2003 and are based in Brooklyn. They have heaps of professional gigs behind them as well as doing sets for local bands such as “Whole Lotta Led”, “The Thomas Oliver Band”, “Elston Gunn”, “Fig Jam” and “The Business”.
Head lighting technician and Owner/operator Andrew Laing has built up most of his experience hands on in the industry (like most in the field).
The best lighting operators match their style to the music genre and an enthusiastic operator understands that.
"The kick I get out of doing this is creating an atmosphere that the party goers love and remember. The key ingredients of a good lighting setup are a good balance of light and a variation of lighting scenes" according to Andrew.
